Cycle a Computer

Sign in

Turn on the computer

Make sure it’s connected to Wifi
-
You should see the wifi symbol in the bottom right corner

If it is not connected it will look like a globe
-
If you cannot get connected to the network call IT Support at 317-863-4200

Click Other User at the bottom left corner

Sign in using your login credentials

Get the System Name
-
Close all windows
-
This includes fighting Edge for use of the desktop (good luck)

Easiest route is to just click Continue

On the tool bar where it says Type here to Search type System Info > press Enter

The 5th Item Down is labeled System Name
-
It’s probably something like SERV-LEBN-0101
- This tells you who and where the laptop belongs
- SERV = Service Department
- LEBN = Lebanon
- 0101 = Employee ID/Extension of the owner
- This structure has been implemented but is not true for all machines

Call IT Support at 317-863-4200

Tell them you need to Remove Previous Users and prep the computer for a new employee

They will need the System Name from Step 2
