Check Toro Product Registration and Warranty

What is it?

Toro Product Registration and Warranty (PRW) Process tells us if a machine is covered under warranty.

Why is it important...

...to the Customer: lower cost to keep the machine functional

...to RPM: we have fewer write-offs for repairs that might have been covered

...to TORO: they can use the data to better-engineer future models

What does it cover?

Toro's Warranty covers issues with material or workmanship defects. They will cover the costs of repair including:

  • Diagnostics
  • Labor
  • Parts
  • Transportation

There's a list of items not covered below.

How do you do it?

Make sure to read through the entire process first. There are a lot of variations to determine coverage.

Check Coverage:

  • Log into Toro Connect
  • Click the PRW icon
  • Select Product Registration Search from the left margin
  • Enter the Model and Serial Number and select 328 Kenney Machinery from the Delivery Dealer Number drop down menu
  • Click Go
  • Click on the Registration ID (far left column of the search results)

Scroll to the bottom of the page, and under Warranty Coverage you will see the policy criteria.

You will also find the End Date for the coverage.

Base Warranty

The Base Toro Warranty applies to products that are:

  • With the Original Owner
  • Less than 2 years from the delivery date
  • Under 1,500 hours (if it has a meter)
  • Not Aerators (these have a separate warranty)

All criteria must be met to qualify. For example, if the machine is under 2 years old but has more than 1,500 hours it does not qualify.

Toro Protection Plus

The customer may have purchased Toro Protection Plus (TPP) with their original order. TPP offers two types of coverage:

  • Drivetrain protection
  • Comprehensive coverage

Review the customer's TPP plan to determine if there is coverage.

Major Component Issues

Major component issues require that we determine the cause of failure before committing to the customer.

Additional diagnostics are required for issues with major components such as:

  • Engine
  • Hydrostat Transmission
  • Wheel Motor
  • SCR Emissions Systems
  • Etc.

For Base Warranty coverage approval a case must be submitted to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC).

  • Detailed photos
  • Component information
  • Fault codes (if applicable)

To get approval for TPP coverage call 800-976-TORO

Toro may not cover the entire repair, but they might do a policy adjustment for labor and parts with KMC and the customer.

Submit the Work Order to the Warranty Administrator including:

  • TAC case number
  • Detailed Photos
  • Fault codes (if applicable)
  • Policy number

The job of the Warranty Administrator is to work through the warranty process. It is not their job to hunt down all the details of the submission. It is the duty of whoever is responsible for the machine (technician, service advisor, service manager, etc.) to get the necessary information to the Warranty Administrator.
