The Breakdown Assistance Process is how CASE helps us maintain our margins and provide better service to our customers when we're running out of options.

Cannibalization

Consuming something of your own. For instance, removing a part from a working machine and using it to repair a damaged machine. We give up (cannibalize) our working machine to fix the customer's broken machine.

SRT: Standard Labor Rate Time

The standard hourly rate we charge for the technician doing the work. Field Technicians will typically carry a higher SRT than Shop Technicians because of the ability to travel to the machine (instead of bringing the machine to the technician).

SME: Subject Matter Expert

The Subject Matter Expert is the person who knows the most about the topic at hand. This is typically used during a project where you need a SME for each of the areas impacted. The SME can be internal or external, depending on the project/topic.
